Last month, Apple updated its iPhone 5 with two new smartphones, iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Both of these new smartphones have an identical design as of iPhone 5 but one has a plastic body and the other has an aluminium body.
iPhone 5C was known to be the cheaper iPhone but Apple has still kept its price tag higher than what users expected. This is the reason why people are still going for iPhone 5S.
Apple iPhone 5S Review
Hello friends, today I’m here with iPhone 5S review. Apple has launched iPhone 5S in three colors this time, space grey, white or silver and gold. When Apple made this smartphone available from the first day, users have been going for gold colored iPhone 5S.
The iPhone 5S is still having the same design, weight and dimensions as of original iPhone 5, but it still has lots of updates which I will be describing below.

The iPhone 5S looks exactly the same in design as the iPhone 5 but its got a new sensor included within the home button. Now the iPhone 5S can sense your fingerprint or scan your fingerprint and you can use it to put a secure lock on the device. Apple has named this technology “Touch ID” and has uploaded lots of videos which makes it clear that your fingerprints are completely secured within the device and no one can access them.
All three colors of the new iPhone 5S are looking great but the gold color is everyone’s clear favorite.
The display measures 4 inch and its got Apple’s retina display technology. The display is added on LED backlit IPS LCD panel and the resolution is 640×1136 pixels.
It supports multi touch feature and protected by corning Gorilla Glass and oleophobic coating. The pixel density is approx 326 ppi. The display looks almost same as iPhone 5 and you’re not going to find any complaints with that.
This is where Apple has done some new things. Apple has provided dual core Apple A7 processor inside which is the first 64-bit mobile processor. Now the iPhone 5S works on a 64 bit processor instead of 32bit. This means, the graphics quality and processing performance are now much better than any other smartphone. It also got 1GB of RAM and available with either 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage.
There is a dedicated quad core GPU inside which manages graphics quality really well. Almost all popular apps are updated to 64 bit architecture and slowly remaining apps will also update.
Complex games and apps were running smoothly on the iPhone 5S when tested – it definitely shows the performance of the new 64-bit mobile processor and quad core GPU.
The rear camera is having same 8MP sensor but with a bigger sensor. The rear camera is having optical image stabilization technology and other features which are getting common these days in smartphone cameras.
Front facing camera is also there with 1.2MP sensor which is there for FaceTime app. Users can use it over Wi-Fi or cellular data to do video calling. This camera is already getting popular among iPhone users and you’re definitely going to find improvements in the picture quality.
It supports 4G LTE as previous model and also got dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (v4.0) and microUSB port. NFC is still missing and I think Apple is waiting to make a better use of this new wireless data transfer technology before actually providing it in user’s hand.
TV out port is also there and user’s favorite SIRI is also included. iCloud is also integrated within the OS and this time Apple has also done major changes in the looking of iOS. iPhone 5S operates on latest iOS 7 which is the best looking iOS version till now.
The iphone 5S requires the use of a nano-sim card, so remember to purchase a new simcard ready to port your number across. If you prefer a better smartphone with unique and luxurious design, with great performance and battery life then I’ll recommend none other than the iPhone 5S.
