After a long journey, Samsung has started learning from its mistakes. Samsung’s most anticipated smartphone of this year was the Samsung Galaxy S4 which didn’t performed well as per expectations. The major reason of this was the poor build quality of this device. But Samsung has not carried the same mistake in the Galaxy Note 3.

Design

If you can handle giant phablet sized smartphones then you should go for Galaxy Note 3. Personally I don’t like any smartphone above 4.7 inch display size as handling such device becomes extremely tough.

Samsung has added 5.7 inch giant display stretched completely to the extreme of the device so the overall size of the device still remains in control. The front part looks great and Samsung has used metallic frame which is again an impressive feature.

The rear part is having completely new look. For the first time, Samsung has used a leather cover at the back which is having stitching around the corner. This is how Samsung has provided a brand new look and feel to the Galaxy Note 3 which is a good thing. For the first time, I’ve ever liked the design of any Samsung smartphone.

Display

Galaxy Note 3 is having 5.7 inch giant display thus Samsung has stretched its phablet size further. The display is added on Super AMOLED panel which supports resolution of 1080×1920 pixels (i.e. full HD resolution). The display is as usual great and looks perfect if different viewing angles.

Such giant sized display and that too with a full HD resolution can be a perfect gift for your partner on Christmas. Samsung smartphones have been known for providing better display quality than any other.

Performance

Samsung has launched two different versions of Galaxy Note 3. One runs on Snapdragon 800 chipset while other (N9000) runs on Samsung’s Octa 5420 chipset which is having eight cores in CPU. The Snapdragon version is having quad core CPU which is clocked at 2.3GHz.

The internal RAM storage is 3GB along with 16/32/64GB of internal storage options are provided to the device which help Galaxy Note 3 to deliver top notch performance. The graphics quality and performance is also great and complex games can run well. Users can also expand the storage with microSD card of maximum 64GB size.

Samsung is selling Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS which is the best version of Android till now. Galaxy Note 3 will also receive update for recently launched Android 4.4 KitKat. Samsung has developed much better software for Note 3 which is extremely good for managing business or doing any work. Galaxy Note 3 is also supporting all new version of Stylus.

Camera

The rear camera is having 13MP sensor while front is having 2MP sensor. It’s having all standard features which Galaxy S4 was having and quality of pictures and videos are also good.

Data

Galaxy Note 3 supports 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and Infra red features for wireless data connectivity. It’s also having microUSB port along with TV out port.

Wrap up

With a battery life of over 21 hour, Galaxy Note 3 is surely the best phablet in the market right now. Its top notch performance and build quality are definitely going to attract customers but its size is too big to handle easily.
