Galaxy Grand is among the most successful smartphone for Samsung and recently the second version of that came out. Galaxy Grand 2 has got updated features and specs sheet which is definitely going to attract customers.
Personally I didn’t liked Galaxy Grand as it was having cheap plastic body but this time, Samsung has provided better look (just like Note 3) into the Galaxy Grand 2.

As per the design is concerned, Galaxy Grand 2 looks exactly same as Galaxy Grand from the front but the rear look has got a unique feature. Just like Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Grand 2 got leather like cover with stitching look. This new look is really impressive and will look best in black color.
The overall size of the Galaxy Grand 2 is almost identical to Galaxy Grand but its little thinner than the previous version. Rests of the things are same.
Galaxy Grand 2 got 5.25 inch display added on TFT panel which provides resolution of 720×1280 pixels i.e. HD resolution. The displays of Samsung devices have always been better than smartphones of any other brand and Galaxy Grand 2 is just another example of that.
The previous Grand was having lower resolution and just 5 inch display so in this new Galaxy Grand 2 you’ll find better display. Handling a bigger smartphone is still a problem for me but if you’re comfortable to manage that then Galaxy Grand 2 is worth till now.
Galaxy Grand 2 runs on Quad Core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which got supported by 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Android version inside is Jelly Bean 4.3 on which you’ll find latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI skin.
The overall performance of the device is extremely good and you’re not going to find any trouble while playing any high quality game. I’m pretty satisfied with the decision of keeping 1.5GB of RAM as it will let the device handle multiple apps easily.
It’s running the second latest version of Android which is another good feature to have. I hope Samsung will provide Android 4.4 KitKat update to this device.

There is an 8MP camera on the back and 1.9MP camera on front. Both cameras are capable of recording HD quality videos and the rear camera is supported by LED flash and image stabilization feature.
The camera quality is similar to what I’ve experienced from every 8MP shooter of Samsung’s smartphones.
Samsung is going to sale it with dual SIM card support option and it features 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB port as data connectivity options. In short, it got everything which a smartphone should have but it still missed out NFC.
During my testing, Galaxy Grand 2 was able to work well for about 15 hours while the browsing time is around 8 hours. This is all due to 2600mAh battery inside.
The battery life is good, display is fine, camera quality is good and the build quality is better. This is how Galaxy Grand 2 is wrapped up and its definitely worth of its price tag.
