HTC is now among the sinking brands which has joined the BlackBerry but it is not going to leave the race so soon. HTC One is already doing well for the company but they need more such gems. HTC Desire 300 is the latest smartphone released in the last month of last year which is available right now at your nearest electronics shop.
HTC Desire 300 has got premium design and features but it’s still not a high end smartphone. If you’re looking for a better looking smartphone then HTC Desire 300 can be an option but let see if it got better performance and battery life or not.
HTC Desire 300 Review
As I mentioned already that the phone is having luxury design as you can expect from an HTC smartphone but it still misses out to charm in other section. Let see how HTC Desire 300 review goes.

The front of the Desire 300 is simple and elegant in design. It got large speaker on the top along with front facing camera and there are only two touch sensitive buttons at the bottom (home and back).
The rear part has got simple, clean and luxury design and it got a camera, HTC branding and loudspeaker at the bottom. The device looks good in look and also provides luxury feeling while holding it in hands.
If you’re waiting for a better design smartphone till now of HTC then Desire 300 can be a good option.
The Desire 300 got 4.3 inch display which provides resolution of 480×800 pixels. The resolution of the device makes it capable to play HD quality videos and also put the device in the budget priced smartphone section.
The display looks good and also looks fine in different viewing angles and also under direct sunlight but it still misses out to get an impressive report here. Reaching out to the corners was possible without adjusting grip as the display size is still compact.
Desire 300 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play chipset which consists of dual core processor and Adreno 203 GPU. The processor is clocked at 1GHz and the storage department holds on to 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Though users can expand the storage to 32GB using microSD card but it is still better to have 4GB of internal storage.
HTC Desire 300 runs on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean on which HTC Sense UI 5.0 has been added. The complete software is good in performance but the icons looks childish in design though there are no complain regarding there performance so far.
The device also got accelerometer and proximity sensors to help game playing but I think HTC should have provided the device with 1GB of RAM as most of the games demand for this much RAM these days.
The overall performance was good, multitasking was smooth but it was not so good when it comes to quality game playing due to lower RAM storage.
Desire 300 got 5MP rear camera with touch focus and face detection features while the front camera has got VGA sensor. The rear camera picture and video qualities were just average and in any case this camera is not meant for serious photography.
Desire 300 got space for microSIM card and it supports 3G cellular network. I was able to stay connected to 3G network easily for longer but there are other options too like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB port. GPS is also there inside to locate your current location.

HTC is offering free 25GB of Dropbox storage and the Desire 300 got 1650mAh battery inside which is capable to provide average amount of battery life. It couldn’t make the whole day but it can be possible if you use your phone not for longer connectivity to internet.
Overall, the device is good but it could have been better if the RAM inside was 1GB and the battery life reaches at least one day.
