HTC has been struggling to get its market share back again and recently numbers of smartphones have been launched. Most of the smartphones launched recently by HTC supports Dual SIM cards which makes it clear that HTC is using this feature to attract customers.
HTC Desire 601 is the name of the device of which I’ll talk here and I’ll share the HTC Desire 601 review down here that will let you know whether to go for this middle range smartphone or not.

HTC Desire 601 Review
There are two speakers on the front side at below and upper side of the display which makes this device looks like HTC One somewhat. The rear side has got a camera lens with LED flash along with HTC branding in the middle. Rest there is nothing made on the device which makes it a clean and simple design. I won’t call it a great design but it is neither that bad.
The display size is 4.5 inch and it got resolution of 540×960 pixels. The display is added on the TFT panel and the quality is just average. The display is not so good but it isn’t that bad keeping its middle price tag in mind. The content was visible in direct sun light and also the viewing angles were good.
The CPU consists of quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU inside. The RAM is 1GB while the internal storage is 4GB. There is an option to increase the storage up to 64GB using the microSD card.
The Android version on which it is running is Jelly Bean 4.3 on which HTC Sense (5.0) skin has been added. The front home screen is the same BlinkFeed UI which was released with the HTC One.
The performance was good and so does the software. I found performance lag while playing bigger sized games but rest it was a good user experience using HTC Desire 601.
The rear camera has got 5MP lens and the front has got VGA camera. The rear camera is capable of recording full HD videos and HTC has added ¼” sized sensor and 1.4 µm sized pixel size.
Face detection was working awesome and very fast, so does the smile detection. The picture quality was just as I was expecting from a 5MP lens but HTC should have provided at least 2MP camera on the front as VGA camera will make you starves for the quality video.
The device got space for Dual SIM cards (micro SIM) and it supports 3G and 2G cellular data network standards. The Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (4.0) and microUSB ports are also there inside to get you connected always.

The battery life of the device is good (not great though) and it can make a day with a single full charge in proper data monitoring. The design is good at this price tag and the HTC BlinkFeed is definitely a great feature. Overall user experience provided by HTC Desire 601 is good and its worth of its price tag.
