Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G Review

I’m going to share the Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G review down here with you that will help you to know what this device capable of and is it worth to buy or not.

The overall design of the Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G is simple and good but I won’t call it elegant. The build quality is good (plastic again) and it got a silver coating around the edges so it looks like that coating has combined the rear and front part of the device.

Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G has got a 6.1 inch of display which supports resolution of 720×1280 pixels and it is well protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass. The display is of IPS + LCD technology and practically it was really good. The content was visible at different viewing angles and it also supports multi touch feature.

Huawei has used Snapdragon 400 chipset on which quad-core processor has been added which is clocked at 1.6GHz along with Adreno 306 GPU. The internal RAM is 2GB and storage is 16GB with an option to upgrade the storage up to 64GB.

The processing power delivered by the device was impressive and I didn’t found any lag while normal operations though there was a slowdown in processing while playing big sized games which require active data connection. But overall, processing is good.

The device is running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS on which Huawei has added their own Emotion (v2.0) skin. The software is nice but was still missing tons of quality apps if we compare to other brands like Samsung, HTC or LG or Sony.

The rear camera is developed by Sony and this is the same 13MP camera which Sony may have developed for its Xperia Z. Picture quality was awesome and it is supported by LED flash for better low light picture quality. There is also a 5MP camera on the front which is a really good thing for those who do lots of video calling.

LTE is there in the device along with all two earlier cellular data standards. Other data connectivity features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (4.0) and microUSB port. GPS is also there to let you find out your current location anywhere around the world.

Wrap up

Device can make a single day easily with single charge and can let you surf the web for maximum 12 hours. It has got 4050mAh battery included along with active noise cancellation with dedicated mic to provide better audio quality on voice and video calls.

Overall, the device is good but it seriously missed the full HD resolution feature. If that was in it along with a better looking software then Huawei Ascend Mate2 4G is no doubt a good phone.
